Question by Steve: How long does it take for the credit bureau to remove an incorrect listing?
I late found out that someone had used me as a co-signer on a loan and was folding to defaulting on it. I contacted the company and got taken off of the loan. over the last 120 days a payment hasn’t been made and that has been reported on my credit report. The loan issuing company has sent me an earned and told me that they have contacted the credit bureau’s. How long does this act to come off of my account and stop goofing up my score?

It’s strictly up to the credit bureau. It depends on the situation. They can take as long as they want because most people do not have enough money to fight the credit bureau. If you don’t believe it just infect them a call, get smart with them and you will glimpsing what I am talking about. Once it’s on there it could take years to get it removed. Then again, if your lucky and get to talk to the redress person it could take a few days or less.

Making Time to Fix and BuildMyCredit

Making Time to Fix and BuildMyCredit

Laguna Niguel, CA (PRWEB) November 02, 2011

Having good credit is more than just a desire for most of us, it is a necessity in our society. This is not new information to anyone who has challenged credit. However, most Americans rarely take the time to do something about their credit score. The biggest reason being, they simply don’t have enough time during the day to get everything done.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics put out by the United States Department of Labor, Americans fill their days with just about everything but taking care of their finances and credit. The reality is there no time for anything else. The latest report shows that the average American’s day looks something like this:

    7.7 Hrs Sleeping
    8.7 hrs Working
    2.6 Hrs Leisure/Entertainment or Sports
    1.1 Hrs Household activity
    1.1 Hrs Eating or Drinking
    1.3 Hrs Caring for Others
1.5 Hrs Catching up on other tasks

With only 24 hours in a day it is understandable why it’s seems so difficult to find time to take care of the responsibilities involved with being fiscally viable.

According to Justin Weller, Credit Repair Processing Manager at BuildmyCredit.com, “Our clients come to us to help them work with the credit bureaus and their creditors because they simply don’t have enough time to deal with these things themselves. On average the process to get a consumers credit report reviewed and repaired can take anywhere from 4 to 8 months. I have even seen the process take over a year in some rare occasions in which there are large amounts of disputes on one file. Additionally, the cards are stacked against the average consumer, the bureaus and the creditors simply don’t make the repair process easy and it is difficult to complete without professional on your side.”

Weller further emphasizes the importance of understanding process of completing a successful credit restoration program. BuildmyCredit.com offers a free telephone evaluation to any consumer with a credit report in hand. If after spending a few moments with the credit consultant and determining that there is definitely a need to begin a credit repair process then the credit consultant will set up an ongoing program to begin the process to work with the client.

The company does more than just help Americans restore your credit, they provide a robust and successful credit builders program. The program helps match each client with banks and creditors that are more likely to say “yes” in the approval process obtaining a loan or credit card. It’s one thing to fix your credit and another to build positive credit attributes. BuildMyCredit.com has been offering credit repair solutions online since 1999.

The company started out by developing a do-it-yourself kit informing consumers how they can work with the credit bureaus in hopes of obtaining a better credit score. Recently, the firm launched its complete in house processing center. BuildMyCredit has produced a talented team of credit consultants on staff that take on the task of working directly with consumers during the credit restoration process. A New Horizon Credit Counseling Reports A Simplified Credit Card Agreement Introduced

A New Horizon Credit Counseling Reports A Simplified Credit Card Agreement Introduced

A New Horizon Credit Counseling 1-800-556-1548

Fort lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) December 19, 2011

A new consumer-friendly credit card agreement has been introduced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the agency created to safeguard the rights of the American public in their dealings with financial institutions. The new agreement has been shortened to approximately 1,100 words, down from the typical 5,000 word agreement currently in use by credit card issuers. The change is intended to reduce the contract with the banks to manifest English said Raj Date, the bureau’s interim director, at a recent news conference. Reports A New Horizon Credit Counseling Services is a nonprofit debt management organization that has been helping consumers since 1978

Stephen Marcus, President of A New Horizon Credit Counseling Services, applauded the revisions which he called “tenacious over-due”. Marcus said, “Making the unexampled agreement easy for the consumer to understand allows them to make better decisions when selecting a credit card, particularly with regard to the new fees being introduced almost daily.” A New Horizon is a national credit counseling agency that assists consumers with managing their debt.

The new agreement is being tested with the Pentagon Federal Credit Union in Alexandria, Va. With 1 million members, and $ 15 billion in assets, it is 1 of the largest credit unions in the country.

The new agreement contains 3 sections: Costs, Changes and Additional Information, designed to clearly explain the prices, risks and features of the credit card. Marcus aforementioned, “This is a good start, but in order to simplify the disclosures, the bureau had to move some of the explanations of terming to a website, calling into question whether the consumer will make the effort to reference them on the internet.” Consumers without internet access can get the additional definitions in hard copy.

With an estimated $ 700 billion in U.S. credit card debt, approximately $ 6,000 per household, and “difficulty understanding the terms of their agreements” being the transcended consumer complaint, any improvement designed to make the consumer better informed is a welcome change, said Marcus.

How can a creditor (or collection agency) report to the credit bureau when they have never contacted me?

Question by Oceanlady: How can a creditor (or collection agency) report to the credit bureau when they have never contacted me?
There is a balance of $ 8,000 on my credit report from a collection agency I have never heard of and has never informed me. Can interest on an old balance of $ 3500 add up to $ 8000?I

Best answer:

Answer by timothy p
you wager it can add up. The interest plus late fees kept collect after you quit paying. As soon as the collection agency locates you they will come after you for the balance. Check you local state laws for the statute of limitations for them to sue you. It may have expired and their only option is to ruin your attribute. It will remain for 7 years from the date of last payment

Q&A: Can a private person report to a credit bureau if they have a private house mortgage (purchased on contract)?

Question by bwilky: Can a private person report to a credit bureau if they have a private house mortgage (purchased on contract)?
I purchased my home from the previous owner on contract. I would like this information to show up on my credit report. I believe that a mortgage with 22 months of on-time payments will improve my credit score. Is there a way for the person I have the contract with to report this information to the credit bureaus?

Best answer:

Answer by connie m
only members of the credit bureau can report to an assigning bureau.purchasing a house under contract for deed can be used to helping you in getting credit but by itself cannot improve your credit score unless the seller is a member of the credit bureau.when you fill out a credit application be sure an included the sellers information so they can be contacted.
