if you’re in the UK, you can go to experian.co.uk or equifax.co.uk. These are the main ones. It costs £2 a time, that’s all and you can order online.

give them a bogus name when entering a name in the username field and then you have to give them you social to get the report.

freecredit check.com You supposedly get one free check per year. You can also apply for a loan and get a credit score.

In US, try annualcreditreport.com. The credit report is free, but the score cost $6 and change.
